LET'S TALK ABOUT ILM RECOGNISED MANAGING A CULTURE OF INCLUSION, EQUALITY & DIVERSITY

This 3 workshop programme, recognised by the ilm, provides managers with focused knowledge and skills support their organisations to develop, maintain and promote an inclusive working culture to drive business success.

ted Learning is delighted to be an ilm Centre and able to deliver a series of Management & Leadership programmes. We offer both the ilm’s own Accredited programmes alongside our own designed and ilm Recognised programmes. This gives flexibility around the way the workshops and assessment can be delivered.

All of our programmes feature a blended learning approach of expert trainers with theory and discussion combined with theatre based learning where you get the chance to watch our actors in action and learn through observation. We take a dramatically different approach to many other ilm Providers by also achieving some of the assignments through practical assessment – this can be done via conducting an interview rather than just writing about it, with one of our actors playing the role of the candidate, for example.

what is a ted learning online course

Managing a culture of inclusion, equality & diversity
What is it?

This programme encompasses 3 workshops, each focusing on a different aspect of managing a culture of inclusion, equality & diversity. We explore the Equality Act and how to manage Inclusion, Equality & Diversity at work, how to make sure your recruitment is Consciously Inclusive, and how to manage brave conversations about inclusion matters.

Each workshop builds on the last, so you can apply the skills you’re learning to specific situations. After each workshop, you’ll complete 1 or 2 short journal entries where you reflect on a specific aspect of the session, thinking about how it relates to your situation and job role.

These journal entries form the assessment of your learning and you’ll get individual written feedback on each of these to help you improve and apply your skills. At the end of the programme you’ll receive a certificate from the ILM in recognition of your achievement.

what will I do on an online ted Learning Course

Managing a culture of inclusion, equality & diversity
What will I do on the programme?

Each of the workshops is different, but they’re all interactive, practical and use theatre-based learning in different ways to help us understand the impact of actions, behaviours and words.

We cover the Equality Act 2010 in our first session, giving clarity on the legal framework which supports the management of inclusion and diversity at work. Then by using our actors, we work through a variety of practical scenarios and contexts throughout the sessions, exploring how we can use knowledge, self-awareness and communication to enable the management of an inclusive, respectful environment. By the end of the programme you’ll not only be more knowledgeable on inclusion, equality and diversity matters, but you’ll feel more confident on how to approach difficult situations relating to this, supporting positive change in others and your organisation.
