Leading your hybrid team

This suite of sessions are for anyone managing and leading a hybrid or agile / home / field / multiple location based team. Choose a focused single session, pick and mix different topics needed for your business, or complete the whole programme for an in-depth, skills-based holistic solution.

This course is designed to enable managers of all levels to build, manage and lead successful agile teams who aren’t all based in the same location, perhaps work at different times, or work different days in different locations.  We recognise that since the Pandemic the way of working has changed, and this course is designed to ensure hybrid ways of working are successful for the company, the management and the team.

The course is built around the Pillars of Hybrid Teams model – so we explore jobs and tasks, employee preferences, projects and workflows and inclusion & fairness.

For some Managers, a hybrid or agile way of working will mean managing a group of people who are spread over a variety of locations (including home working), for others it may mean that most of the team are based in one place and you have one or two members who work remotely, for others it might be a completely new way of working with different shifts, teams previously in one location now split between home. office or blended.

Whatever your situation, this course will support you with the challenges and benefits of managing, motivating and connecting your team.

How is this course delivered

Virtual learning – this is where a classroom based experience is delivered online, via our ted Learning HuB.  Instead of a full day in the classroom, we break the session down into bite-size interactions.  Learners can join from any location and participate in the training experience.  Our virtual classroom features break out rooms, drama-based learning with our actors & discussions.

We offer two versions of the virtual course.

 

One is 3 hours and one is 90 minutes depending on your needs.  So we can run two sessions per day meaning you can train up to 40 people virtually.  The course is designed to support them wherever they are on their hybrid journey – whether that is just beginning or advanced, we adapt the drama based scenarios to reflect the challenges your leaders and managers might be facing.

 We limit time in this environment to around 40-minute sessions to maintain learner engagement.

Why come on the course?

If you’re leading a team of people who are based in different locations, are non-office based or have varying work patterns, it can be challenging to establish and maintain a sense of teamwork and coherence to work collectively to achieve business goals. Supporting individual professional development and performance can also be challenging if you don’t see your team every day. This course will give you practical tools, skills and techniques to ensure your remote team are productive, motivated and work well together.

What is it?

A fun, interactive, 2.5 hour course delivered via our Virtual Classroom, using our professional actors and our expert trainer.

An interactive workshop delivered by our expert management trainer, based around the Pillars of a Hybrid Team model, we focus on jobs and tasks, employee preferences and how these will impact the new ways of working, projects and workloads and inclusion and fairness. We’ll explore this theory and come up with practical tools around team dynamics and teamworking in hybrid scenarios, look at which communication skills are particularly important and how they’re affected by remote working, different working patterns and blended working environments, and identify how you can use technology to support your team alongside creating a connected team regardless of location.

What will I do on the programme?

Through practical group and individual activities and discussion, this workshop will give you a variety of tools and techniques that enable you to motivate, engage and lead your hybrid teams successfully to achieve both individual and organisational goals. Learners will leave with an action plan on how to support, engage and motivate their team, regardless of their ways of working.
